Position Overview
PADF’s Migration team seeks a Program Associate highly interested in migration issues, program management, and communications for its programming in Aruba & Curaçao. Reporting to the Aruba Program Manager, the Associate will support program management efforts and assist program managers and directors in ensuring timely and successful delivery of objectives and milestones in both islands. The Associate will also develop communications products and conduct research on donors and partners, helping the organization to foster relationships that advance PADF’s mission and goals.
This position is based in PADF’s Oranjestad, Aruba office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Support
Support general program management efforts, including contributing to technical reports, budget tracking, drafting contracts and agreements, and preparing payments for program activities and outputs. Assist with reviewing and analyzing documents and information received from partners and/or field teams. Assist in tracking sub-partners’ performance, providing feedback, guidance, and assistance to ensure successful program implementation. Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of key data and indicators for the project together with staff in Washington D.C. Ensure all project grants and partner organizations comply with PADF donor regulations. Assist in research, analysis and monitoring of the implementation of the project in the field. Work closely with other programmatic staff in the development and monitoring of project activities. Support with new business development and proposal drafting processes.Program Communications
Support communications efforts for program-related and institutional visibility. This may include supporting the development of communication plans and content calendars; identifying needs for photos/video/other communications assets; and assisting program teams in planning to meet these needs; and developing and drafting social media content, newsletters, and success stories, among other communications products. Support the organization and leadership of events, including events in countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. This may include liaising with partners and speakers, developing agendas, drafting talking points, and developing and giving presentations, among other tasks.Competencies

Organization – Ability to structure, systematize, standardize and institutionalize policies and processes across geographies and cultures. Attention to detail.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in international studies, international development, gender, humanitarian assistance, law, public policy or administration, business administration, economics, or related field. At least one (1) year of work experience in international development, non-profit or social enterprise, economic development, corporate social responsibility, and/or education. Fluency in English and at least an intermediate level of Spanish. Ability to travel as necessary, within the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. Experience within and/or knowledge of the Latin America and Caribbean region and some understanding of regional dynamics is preferred. Experience working with migration issues / organizations and donors is a plus. Exposure to / experience in program management and proposal development is a plus. Master’s degree in international studies, international development, gender, humanitarian assistance, law, public policy or administration, business administration, economics, or related field preferred.More About PADF
