ACF has opened a mission in Cabo Delgado in 2021 and currently is managing an overall budget of about 5 Million USD with a multiple range of Donors and stakeholders.
The programs include an integrated approach focusing on the core sectors of ACF globally.
The mission is currently seeing an important scale up with about 85 national staff across the Province.
In Pemba there is a coordination office and a field base which covers the areas of Macomia and Quissanga plus an RRM (Rapid Response Mechanism) component and, in Mueda there is a Sub Office which covers the districts of Mueda, Nangade and Muidumbe.
Cabo Delgado province, already one of the most vulnerable and poverty-stricken provinces of Mozambique, has been affected since late 2017 by a low-intensity armed conflict between an Islamist armed insurgency and the Mozambican security forces. Early last year, the conflict spread as the insurgents managed to assert territorial control over certain areas and access to the northeastern districts of Cabo Delgado significantly reduced

Humanitarian needs among conflict-affected populations in Cabo Delgado are wide-ranging and span all of ACF’s traditional sector of expertise, including Food Security & Livelihoods, Nutrition & Health and WASH, which have been prioritized as part of our programmtic strategy in. In light of the rapidly changing context, the humanitarian needs and ACF’s expertise, geographic area of intervention will focus on H2R (Hard to Reach) areas comprising Mueda, Nangade, Macomia and Quissanga districts

© Anastasia BosioAs part of the senior management team, under the supervision of the country director, you will be in responsible of the overall mission finance management ensuring sound and transparent administration of funds by providing accounting and financial management consistent with the ACF financial management framework and local legislation. More specifically, you will be in charge of:

You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in finance and/or Business administration or another related field. Master in Finance or similar is an asset.
You have a practical experience in financial management, coordination and accountancy.
You have proven ability in translating analysis and evaluation into operational planning and strategic decision-making. You are known for your excellent team management skills, good listener and your high communication skills. Minimum 3-years’ experience in financial management coordination.
English is mandatory, portuguese/spanish an asset.
