This position is located in the Office of the Director, CPCD in the Department of General Assembly and Conference Management (DGACM). The Meetings Services Assistant reports to the Senior Programme Management Officer in the Office of the Director, CPCD. Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the Meetings Services Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

• Prepares sets of official documentation and reference material for the Journal of the United Nations;
• Coordinates and plans meetings and inputs for the Office of the Director;
• Updates files for each scheduled meeting;
• Prepares conference material for meetings to be held away from Headquarters in the Journal of the United Nations;
• Assists relevant officials on meeting-related matters;
• Updates and maintains the SharePoint site for the Journal Project;
• Performs other related duties as required. Competencies

High school diploma or equivalent. Must have passed the GGST.

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in conference support or related area is required.

Knowledge in SharePoint is desirable. Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage. Assessment

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules.
