Under the general supervision of the Section Chief of the Technology and Engineering Section, Creative Solutions Division, CSF, this position is for a Media Officer, and the incumbent will be responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and technical integrity of all audio-visual and broadcast systems. They will ensure seamless functionality for live events, productions, presentations, and broadcasts by installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading equipment. The selected candidate will be across the latest industry standards in this sector, acting as the primary technical point of contact for the facility.

  • Oversee all engineering functions for IMF Studios and AV systems across the IMF campus, including Master Control operations, Conference room systems, production venues, boardroom operations and display screens across the facility.
  • Lead the team of vendor engineers to support the engineering and operational needs of Fund Headquarter buildings. Supervise the work of a cross functional team consisting of staff and vendors.
  • Manage communications related to the engineering program, develop, and manage maintenance schedules and respond to identified issues with robust solutions to mitigate and maintain the facility.
  • Supervise the allocation of technical resources to ensure day-to-day operational stability and to ensure the scheduling of preventative maintenance.
  • Lead reviews of process improvements to create a robust set of Standard Operating Procedures and workflows to support AV and broadcast operational stability.
  • Develop strong cross-divisional relationships to strengthen understanding, collaboration, and support. Act as subject matter expert and provide expert advice to maximize programs alignment.
  • Review and manage Service Level Agreement contracts with the Senior Media Officer for the Technology & Engineering Section. Recommend additional support or reductions in services based on evolving needs.
  • Oversee planning for operational equipment replacement, identify requirements and budgetary recommendations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external contractors to ensure work performed meets Fund standards.
  • Work closely with the lead engineer from the Operations Team to ensure the whole engineering team has all relevant certifications for in-house technologies.
  • Ability to create and comprehend signal flow documents. Ability to work in AutoCad.
  • Work closely with the Project Team to review equipment and systems through system lifecycle, provide recommendations for new technologies to meet demand.

    Create and manage a repository of all relevant documents, establish best practices and initiate knowledge sharing among the team and encourage innovation to deliver efficiency and impact.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    Completion of an advanced university degree in engineering technology, computer science, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree supplemented by a minimum of six years of relevant professional work experience, is required.

    • Proven experience in operational AV system management, high-level troubleshooting, performance monitoring, capacity planning, documentation, maintenance planning, and infrastructure architecture.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team and manage technical resources.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across divisions.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to create and comprehend signal flow documents.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of industry technology standards and best practices.
    • Experience in managing large facilities and creating processes for data review.
      • Ability to create and comprehend signal flow documents. Ability to work in AutoCad.
        • Certification in relevant AV and broadcast technologies.
