Chemonics seeks a Malaria Procurement and Supply Chain Data Specialist in support of the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project based in Arlington, VA. The Specialist will provide critical contributions to the Malaria Procurement Team on optimization and integration of systems and other tools for malaria health commodities, lead deep dive supply chain data analysis, make recommendations and contribute to reports for critical client requests and conduct full cycle procurement of life saving malaria treatment and prevention commodities when needed. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead optimization of systems and other tools used by the Malaria Procurement team, trouble-shoot issues and provide technical support towards developing solutions

  • Work collaboratively with the Optimization team to embed and fully integrate systems and tools within the Malaria Procurement team

  • Manage day to day maintenance of systems and tools used by the Malaria Procurement team

  • Conduct deep data analysis and produce regular reports as well as responses to critical information requests from client

  • Manage or contribute to high-level reporting requests such as congressional reports on an as needed basis

  • Participate in technical evaluation panels as needed

  • Conduct full-cycle procurement of malaria commodities on an as needed basis

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required

  • Experience in data management and/or data analytics plus advanced knowledge of Excel required

  • Experience in process improvement/automation

  • Data programming skills, particularly in Python, required

  • Experience in procurement and/or supply chain strongly preferred

  • Ability to analyze data using statistical software such as R, SAS or STATA and present data in easily understood data visualizations using software such as Tableau or PowerBI

  • Strong ability to write reports and present findings concisely and accurately

  • Solid project management skills and ability to work independently to produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner

  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in supply chain management and/or global public health preferred

  • Demonstrated honesty, commitment to excellence, and strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity

  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
