About the Program:
In this internship, you will contribute to WRI’s Congressional and agency engagement, research, and analytical activities in support of our organizational efforts to advance federal action on low-carbon, equitable and resilient policies. As a member of the U.S. policy team working on cross-cutting issues, you will have the opportunity to interact with experts from across WRI programs and sectors.
This position is hybrid and will require a few days per week in our Washington DC office.
What you will do:
You will support this work by conducting and preparing research, reports, and communication materials to inform strategic engagement with the 118th Congress and federal agencies for WRI's legislative priorities. This is a six-month, term-limited role. This position may have the opportunity to convert to a regular, non-term-limited role, if program funding allows. You will report to WRI’s Deputy Director of Government Affairs and work closely with the Director of Government Affairs.

Compensation
The pay for this internship opportunity is $20/hour for undergrads; $22/hour for graduates and $24/hour for PhD students.
Length of Contract:
This is a full-time, 6-month internship with a flexible start and end date.
Location:
• This is a hybrid internship that will be based out of our Washington D.C. office. You will be required to work in the Washington DC office at least 8 days per month.
• WRI will provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.
