Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Strategic Information Advisor, the KMC Officer supports programs and clients in translating strategic information for various audiences to ensure maximum utilization and impact. S/he works with partners and program beneficiaries to maximize and build local capacities and evaluate programmatic effectiveness. S/he co-creates high-quality scientific, knowledge, and technical products and promotes the impact of our technical assistance and support to both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Provides technical support in developing and disseminating technical documentation, including but not limited to project reports, workplans, toolkits, manuals, guides, policies, and protocols and other documentation
Supports, prepares, and co-facilitates knowledge and learning activities, including but not limited to training, webinars, workshops, capacity-building, technical meetings
Assists in writing social media posts, newsletters, blogs, web pages, presentations, and other publications
Supports the collection, organization, storage, use, retrieval of project documentation
Implements effective and innovative knowledge management and communication strategies and best practices
Ensures project implementation and documentation adheres to donor and organizational strategies, guidelines, and policies
Works closely with the assigned team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures and quality standards
Conducts analysis of program implementation to identify areas for improvement and propose appropriate technical strategies and guidelines
Responds to requests and inquiries from internal and external staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Strong knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in providing technical assistance and support in knowledge management, research, and/or learning
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Excellent and demonstrated program/project management skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite required
Proficient in interactive and innovative learning and communications platforms
Ability to influence and collaborate with others
Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors, and prepare reports
Ability to problem solve and implements corrective action as needed
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Articulate, professional, and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff
Sensitive to cultural diversity and understands the political, contextual, and ethical issues in the workplace and with program beneficiaries
Working Conditions and Travel Requirements
Office located in the central business district of Makati City
Usual office working conditions (considering current COVID-19 situation)
Ability to travel domestically at least 25%
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Health, Economics, Knowledge Management, Education, Human Development, Information Science, International Development, Development Communications, Social Sciences, or related field
Typically requires at least 3- to 5-year experience in knowledge management, training, communications, and technical assistance
Previous work experience with USAID or donor-led projects is an advantage
