The internship programme is not intended to lead to a career in the ILO. There should be no expectation of further employment at the end of the internship.
The ILO values diversity. We welcome applications from qualified women and men, particularly those with disabilities and from non- or under- represented member States. If you are unable to complete our online application form due to a disability, please send an email to ilojobs@ilo.org
IMPORTANT:
Please only apply for an internship if you fulfil the following two criteria:
(1) You have no close relative serving in the ILO.
(2) This is your first internship with the ILO (only one internship is permitted).
The International Labour Organization is the specialized agency of the United Nations which seeks the promotion of social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights.
The ILO has a unique tripartite structure with workers and employers participating as equal partners with governments in the work of its governing organs. The Decent Work Team/CO-Moscow coordinates the ILO activities in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia sub-region.
Within the DWT/CO-Moscow team, the Enterprise Development and Green Jobs Senior Specialist leads and coordinates the delivery of evidence-based policy advice, tools and methods in the area of enterprise development, climate change, green jobs and just transition in the countries covered by DWT/CO-Moscow. The area of work measures and monitor the employment and decent work methods on climate change and sustainable development policies, promoting green jobs, the implementation of the ILO 2023 Resolution and Conclusions on Just Transition, and capacity development of ILO staff and constituents in the area of enterprise development and climate change.
The intern will be integrated in the team of the area of work and will be supervised by the Enterprise Development and Green Jobs Specialist based in Moscow in coordination with the National Coordinator Azerbaijan.
The incumbent will develop its activities mainly in the area of enterprise development and green jobs-just transition and contribute to the preparation of ILO’s Constituents for COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. S/he will have the chance to extend their knowledge and experience by collaborating with other technical specialists. The intern can, therefore, expect to become involved in tasks outside of his/her specialist area, thereby gaining wider insights into the workings of the ILO Moscow office and the ILO, and learning about the importance of cross-cutting issues, including gender and social dialogue.
The internship will be provided with the opportunity of developing applied desk research and data analysis skills for the preparation of ILO’s Constituents for COP29.

Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and statistical software such as Stata or SPSS.
