POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Senior Director, the Manager will conduct audits of Winrock locations and functions. The audits will be designed to identify risks to achieving Wi’s strategic, operational, reporting, and compliance objectives; assess the adequacy of internal controls to mitigate identified risks; assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operations; and recommend appropriate actions to reduce associated risks. The audits will focus on evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of global and local processes and controls. The Manager will not only strive to provide the highest level of professional service but also maintain the highest ethical standards and due professional care. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager will help to identify and manage risks through advisory services and supporting projects and Home offices management through internal audits. The Manager will also provide critical, independent, clear, and practical advice to determine the right processes and internal controls to improve and optimize the business processes. Major Responsibilities: Assist the Senior Director in planning Project Office and functional audits, special reviews, and investigations. Conduct Project Office and functional audits, special reviews, and investigations independently with minimal supervision. Draft audit findings that clearly describe the conditions, criteria, cause, effect, and recommendations to correct identified deficiencies. Assist the Senior Director, in collaboration with Regional Finance Controllers and other relevant units in monitoring the progress of corrective actions by management to correct identified deficiencies. Assist the Senior Director in continuously innovating and improving the audit process through new tools and techniques. Be up to date with current trends to ensure that the organization complies with all relevant internal requirements, industry regulations, and government legislation. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field Certificates or Licenses: CPA/CA, CIA, and CFE or actively pursuing CFE certification. Experience: 6+ years in the business field Minimum of 3 years of USAID experience in the Not-for-Profit or INGO sectors or grant-supported organizations Minimum of 3 years external (with “big-four” experience) or internal auditing experience Computer/Technical Skills: Proficiency level Communication Skills: Proficiency level in Written and Oral English Language: Fluency in business French is a plus. Required Travel: Travel up to 50% including travel to underdeveloped countries.
