WRI India has the capacity to convene key stakeholders, and forge strategic partnerships with governments, business, foundations, civil society organizations, institutes and NGOs, to scale-up solutions that can bring game-changing results for the sustainable management of natural resources in India. Position Overview (Brief Overview of the Role): WRI India is seeking an intern for the Sustainable Cities and Transport Program to support our work on decarbonizing freight. The intern will support the team in the e-FAST (Electric Freight Accelerator for Sustainable Transport) India initiative. The objective of this project is to advance the uptake of electric medium and heavy-duty trucks (e-MHDTs) through collaborations between ecosystem stakeholders for pilots. How your day will unfold:
Contribute to outreach efforts for the platform by communicating with the members of the initiative for events, discussions, and onboarding. Undertaking secondary research on the landscape of freight movement, map e-MHDT pilots across India, and industry updates.Developing data collection instruments like surveys. Ability to identify and pull-out alternate data sets. Executing data collection instruments on ground.Participate in interactions with industry partners and other stakeholders and mapping individual priorities.Analyze different data sets and generate actionable insights.Contribute in preparation of different types of collateral like reports, slide decks, blogs etc.Qualifications and Requirements we seek: Master's degree in Transport planning, transport engineering, urban planning, Public Policy or Mass CommunicationProficiency in quantitative and qualitative researchProficiency in MS Office is a must. Ability to generate high-quality research. Good writing skills is essential.Prior work or understanding of freight or electric mobility is preferable. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, think creatively, work efficiently under high pressure.Stipend: 25000 Per Month
