In Palestine, NRC provides humanitarian assistance and promotes respect for international law in one of the longest-running displacement crises in modern history. Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the officer position is day to day implementation of the support functions responsibilities. Use actions words such as ensure, implement or assist for the position relevant responsibilities.
Generic responsibilities
Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines, the national labor law in all processes and procedures. Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management Ensure proper filing of documents Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function Support line managers in procedures and require team training. Ensure implementation of administrative systems and procedures.Specific responsibilities
Ensure that staff records in Gaza AO are up to date and filed appropriately Ensure that all files on the filling tree are up to date. Responsible for Leaves tracking and relevant monthly reports. Responsible for the Time sheets monthly submissions in accordance with NRC procedures. Responsible for the Insurances coverage for National staff in line with local labor laws and NRC policy. Responsible for preparing Salaries calculation and distributing of Salary slips. Ensure that induction and exit procedures are implemented for all National staff. Manage and participate in the contingents' workers recruitment process as appropriate Coordinate staff recruitment and exits, introductions, training, staff benefits schemes as needed. Coordinate with relevant partners, suppliers, authorities, lawyers as required. Support the line manager in the reports needed by the country office and local authorities. Handling the petty cash. Follow up on performance analysis and develop staff training plans. Facilitate all the administration of expat staff and national staff related to visa and permit applications. Focal point for Guesthouse booking, and make sure that all Guesthouses are clean and ready for the visitors. Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by managementGeneric professional competencies:
• Experience from working as a Support Function Officer (HR/ Admin) in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Good knowledge in writing and speaking of English
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Fluency in Arabic, both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure Highest standards of ethics and integrity
We value reliability and organizational skills, and we are looking for someone who can communicate effectively, work well in a team, and handle pressure. Basic analytical and IT skills are also desirable.

Additional Information:
Contract duration: 12 months.
Working hours: 40 hours/week, Sun-Thu (5 days per week)
Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions
Duty station: Gaza (open to Gaza strip residents only)
