About the Program:
Global Forest Watch (GFW) is an online platform that harnesses cutting edge technology to provide data and tools for monitoring forests. GFW’s online platform allows anyone to access near real-time information about where and how forests are changing, creating unprecedented transparency about what is happening in forests worldwide. GFW works with governments, companies, civil society organizations, and journalists to transform information and transparency into action and accountability to conserve, restore, and sustainably manage forests around the world. www.globalforestwatch.org
This position is hybrid and will require a few days per week in our Washington DC office.
What you will do:
The Funding and Monitoring Intern of Global Forest Watch (GFW) contributes to the initiative’s proposal development and monitoring, learning and evaluation (MEL) efforts under the supervision of the Senior Manager of MEL for Food Land and Water (FLW) and the GFW director. S/he contributes to proposal research, project workplans, design of results frameworks, and monitoring systems. S/he is responsible for managing proposal content collection, drafting proposal components, and supporting project evaluations. The Proposals and Monitoring (PM) Intern will collect and refine content for proposals; develop performance management plans; monitor established indicators; adapt protocols and processes for systematic collection of indicator data and user stories; and coordinate the timely submission of proposals.

Compensation
The pay for this internship opportunity is $20 for undergrads; $22 for graduates and $24 for PhD students.
Length of Contract:
This is a full-time, 6-month internship with a flexible start and end date.
Location:
• This is a hybrid internship that will be based out of our Washington D.C. office. You will be required to work in the Washington DC office at least 8 days per month.
• WRI will provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.
