The GBV case worker will support in the strengthening of the existing community-based systems in SGBV response by working closely with the SGBV response officer, and Protection staff to ensure quality, dignified and confidential services are provided to the survivors. He/she will work closely with the community-based support groups (location-based SGBV focal points and SGBV Advocate group members), women committee, camp leadership, partner agencies and other community groups.

Responsibilities:

Support the SGBV response officers in attending to the survivors and documenting the SGBV cases i.e. filling of the intake and consent forms, referral forms and follow-ups. Conduct frequent community based safe home monitoring, house to house visit to raise awareness on GBV and inform on DRC services. Provide weekly updates on the community based safe homes which will inform the SGBV response programming. Support in the provision of contextualized psychosocial support activities at the women centers. As part of case management, conduct follow ups to individual survivors and liaise with the GBV response officer for additional interagency intervention that might be needed. Participate in the case conference meetings. Take lead in organizing and conducting information dissemination sessions targeting women and girls at the women centers as well as awareness raising session on relevant topics. Compile and submit the reports of activities undertaken in a timely manner Work with the GBV team to create weekly work plans

Experience and technical competencies:

Minimum of one-year relevant experience with rights-based humanitarian work, Experience in provision of case managements preferably for SGBV survivors. Good communication skills and ability to communicate with the community leaders, partner agencies and beneficiaries who are mostly women and Girls Experience working in a woman center

Languages:

Fluency in local language. Working knowledge of English language is desirable
