FHI 360 is seeking qualified individual for the position of Finance Coordinator.

The Finance Coordinator is responsible for managing grants, day to day financial operations, activity budgets, monitoring financial accountability and ensuring accounting system in accordance with FHI 360 and cooperative agreement financial control policies and procedures. The position will report to the Associate Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Implementing Agencies (IAs) agreement
  • Timely reviewing and processing of IAs financial reports for reimbursement.
  • Undertake/review each voucher, invoice and all supporting documents for procurement and services with deliverables and ensure correctness and completeness for payment process.
  • Oversee the timely reimbursement for consultants and other payments.
  • Oversee the proper functioning of FHI 360 GFAS accounting system.
  • Process transactive banking payments via ANZ Transactive banking system as and when needed, communicate and resolve issues with banks.
  • Review Country Office staff payroll and other benefits on fortnightly basis.
  • Ensure processing of Withholding Tax, Group tax, Nasfund Contributions in accordance with local law on a monthly basis to IRC and Nasfund.
  • Assist FHI 360 management in preparation of pipeline analysis, country office budgets and budget proposals.
  • Prepare and ensure timely submission of weekly cash flow request.
  • Ensure month end closing and submission of accurate financial reports to headquarters with all supporting documents.
  • Prepare Annual Group Tax Returns, Training Levy and submit AD of Operation for review and finalization.
  • Assist in the conduct of FHI 360 internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to the development of Project annual work plans and budget designs.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by AD of Operations and Senior Management.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Management with minimum five years of work experience or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management with minimum eight years experience in financial planning/management.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with office accounting systems and USAID financial and accounting procedures.
    • Proactive and independent approach to work with willingness to undertake additional responsibilities.
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure.
