UNHCR Korea's Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) team has been growing steadily each year, navigating through tough competition. To significantly contribute to the 2021-2025 Long-term Strategy for UNHCR Korea, PSP Korea has developed key strategic initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable growth. Consequently, enhancing HR and Finance capabilities has become critically essential. The functions of finance and human resources need to be further strengthened. Therefore, it is crucial to enhance the capabilities of the Finance and HR departments.
Aligned with the 2021-2025 Long-term Strategy for UNHCR Korea and as part of the broader PSP team, this LICA position will primarily handle finance-related tasks. Additionally, it can add value to the team by managing administrative tasks related to human resources and ICT functions.
2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Under the overall supervision of the Senior HR Assistant, the individual contractor will assist in the following.
Finance support
- Assist in reviewing supporting documents and processing payments for all expense payment requests. Provide support for sharing relevant guidance and policy information to staff members, ensuring the maintenance of all finance documentation in both physical and electronic archiving formats.
- Ensure to fully support all financial transactions to be correctly recorded for expenditure-related reports.
- Assist suppliers and staff members in preparing the appropriate documents to register vendors within relevant categories.
Human Resources Management
- Assist in the overall recruitment process by posting jobs, preparing summaries of eligible applicants, coordinating interviews, and organizing new talent acquisition events.
- Maintain personnel records in the office, including attendance, overtime, and leave records as applicable.
- Provide assistance and guidance to new staff members to facilitate smooth onboarding and integration into the organization.
- Assist in processing and reviewing entitlements and HR-related reimbursements.
- Provide support in planning and organizing employee engagement initiatives, including capacity-building and team-building activities.
- Provide administrative support for handling MIP claims of staff members.
- Assist in processing overall travel-related administrative tasks, including monitoring travel requests and closure requests. Contact the travel agency while ensuring compliance with relevant administrative rules and the Travel Policy of UNHCR.
Perform other related duties as required.

The LICA will work for the UNHCR office under the direct supervision of Senior HR Assistant.
4. Qualifications and Experience

- High School Diploma or University degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or the other related fields.
b. Work Experience

- Minimum 1-year of relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 0 year of experience for Bachelor or equivalent or higher
c. Key Competencies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and enhance efficiency
- Proven proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to perform a range of repetitive and routine tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Korean and English;
