In this full-time, maximum term role (through to end of September 2025, with potential for extension), you’ll join our Intensive Bail Initiative team in Mount Isa. You’ll work closely alongside external stakeholders to increase and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children, and will be contributing to our ultimate goals of assisting young people to meet the conditions of their bail, decreasing the number of children and young people being remanded in custody, and reducing youth reoffending.
You will make a difference by:
Working with the families of young people involved in the youth justice system through intensive case work, follow-up and referrals to other specialist services Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program, and reviewing client progress towards these goals Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged families Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing progress

This role requires:
Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the youth justice system Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service
