Under the direct supervision of the Site Development Coordinator in Cox’s Bazar office, the successful candidate will be part of the Site Development team. S/he will support in the implementation of site planning activities, including but not limited to documentation and design, rehabilitation, and upgrade assistance for camps, as well as coordination support for Site Planning and Site Development

  1. Lead the site planning team and coordinate the development of site plans and carry out the implementation of the site planning activities in camps and camp like settings in coordination with relevant units such as Shelter and WASH.
  2. Produce site plans, sketch designs, documentation (AutoCAD), presentation drawings (3D rendering / Adobe CC) and mapping (ArcGIS). 
  3. Carry out site assessments to ensure the suitability of land for the development of site plans.
  4. Conduct regular site visits to verify in-depth understanding of the characteristics of the sites in Ukhiya and Teknaf.
  5. Liaise with governmental entities on the development and implementation of projects relevant to site planning.
  6. Provide necessary information and documentation for the preparation of project proposals for IOM to contact potential donors and/or government agencies. 
  7. Coordinate the development of planning guidance for the IOM managed camps.
  8. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Education:

  9. Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
University degree in Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.

Experience:

Experience in site planning is required; Experience in computer aided drawing is required; Experience in building design is an advantage; Experience with International Organizations and/or NGOs is an advantage; Experience in camp rehabilitation and redevelopment is an advantage; Experience in geographic information systems is required;
