Director, Growth & Fundraising Strategy

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE:

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Resource Development, the Director, Growth & Fundraising Strategy is responsible for the strategy and development of an execution plan to deliver on the first phase of the Investment Case and Growth Strategy. This includes developing and implementing the systems to monitor progress, evaluate impact and establish clear escalation points, enabling team members to operate independently within defined expectations.  This role will ensure a holistic and coordinated approach, aligning and integrating overlapping areas across the team.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Develop and implement the Mass Marketing fundraising strategies and campaigns that are aligned to the required, determined, and established goals and targets, while ensuring compliance to and alignment with best practices and ethical standards of fundraising initiatives across the team Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Mass Marketing fundraising activities, adjusting plans as required. Develop, implement, track and monitor dynamic multi-channel fundraising strategies to achieve revenue targets, inclusive of a robust reporting & analytics structure. Enhance donor stewardship and engagement programs to promote a consistent brand experience across all touch points. Work with Finance to integrate fundraising data with financial systems and develop strong analytical tools and predictive capabilities. Serve as the primary business owner of the CRM platform, leading its strategic use and development to support organizational goals.Act as a core member of SCC’s Leadership Team, contributing to cross-functional decision-making and driving organizational priorities.Represent Save the Children Canada at the international level, via the SCI Fundraising and Marketing Hub, as required. 

People Management 

Lead assigned team/department providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management while ensuring alignment with organizational values and policies.Set clear team and individual performance expectations for productivity, quality, and success; providing direction and support as needed. Oversee budget management, recruitment, change management and career development while ensuring compliance, fostering a respectful, values-driven culture, and maintaining a safe and inclusive workplaceEnsure regular and transparent communication on strategy and policies, uphold SCC’s Code of Conduct, Policies, Leadership Charter, Reconciliation, Equity, Anti-Racism, Diversity, Inclusion (READI), Health and Safety standards, integrates Child Safeguarding practices, models competencies, and professional and ethical behavior.

Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience. CFRE designation is an asset.  Minimum 7-10 years' management experience in fundraising or mass marketing strategies to consumer markets working in a global environment. Experience in International Development, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO/INGO), or other not-for-profit sectors is preferred. People management experience in a unionized environment is preferred.Extensive experience in marketing, channels, campaign execution and brand management. Exceptionally customer-centric with a drive to improve donor experience. Strong financial management and data analytical skills. Advanced communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences to build strong working relationships across cultural and organizational settings, both internally and externally. French/Spanish/Arabic language skills is an asset. Demonstrated project management experience for task execution of assigned objectives supported by proficiency with MS Office tools and relevant technologies. Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines to achieve SCC objectives.  Displays analytical and problem-solving skills to support initiatives with demonstrated adaptability to support change management for successful task implementation. Applies judgment and make sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures.  Considers organizational strategy and thinks creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations that deliver benefits for the children and families we serve.  Ability to occasionally travel locally, nationally and internationally (less than 10%) as required.

 

WHAT WE OFFER

This position salary range between $115,639.15 - $138,766.55 CAD depending on skills and experience. In addition to this, our employees will have the following package of additional benefits:
