Planning & Execution
Working closely with the Head of Digital Fundraising, other direct marketing channel managers and the communications team – and other key stakeholders as required – the Digital Fundraising Manager, Acquisition will develop and execute a multi-channel digital acquisition plan, with paid advertising as the primary tactic.Manage the acquisition strategy – including direct to monthly, unrestricted OTG, lead generation, etc.Responsible for meeting monthly lead and donor targets as well as maintaining set cost per lead and cost per acquisitionDevelop innovative strategies to acquire new donorsDevelop an annual testing plan that is regularly reviewed and modified based on resultsCollaborate on landing page builds and CROTracking, Reporting & Analytics
Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders, including performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns, optimization initiatives, and digital acquisition through paid activityEnsure that all financial targets and other KPIs are met across all digital acquisition activity. Proactively identify potential issues and propose possible mitigation strategies.Manage budgets and expenditure for all digital activity, making adjustments from low-performing to high-performing areas as required, and ensuring alignment with the broader organizational fundraising budget.In collaboration with other channel managers, identify and work towards shared targets and measures of success.Track expenses against budget, ensure the timely processing of invoices, flag potential issues relating to spend.Deliver post campaign analysis on all digital fundraising campaigns including results, learnings and recommendationsSystems, Processes and Administration
Manage vendors on a day to day basis to the responsibilities and metrics of success outlined in the contract and statement of work.Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and quality of vendor services and/or support.Perform annual audits / review of vendors.Support vendor selection process where required through identification of requirements, development of RFP’s and selection process as required.Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure integration and alignment of activity across channels and portfoliosSystems, Processes and Administration
Conduct continuous learning initiatives to stay updated on the latest trends in marketing technology (martech), ensuring the integration of innovative tools and approaches into advertising strategies.Stay informed about developments in the nonprofit sector, including emerging trends and best practices, to align digital advertising efforts with industry standards and community needs.Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in paid advertising platforms beyond Google Ads and Meta Ads, exploring new channels and technologies for potential campaign optimization.Foster knowledge-sharing within the team, staying attuned to internal insights and experiences, and actively participating in relevant forums, webinars, and conferences to broaden understanding of digital marketing landscape.Qualifications include (but are not limited to):
3-5 years of experience in digital fundraising; experience working at an INGO or other non-profit preferred.Proven success in meeting or exceeding acquisition and fundraising targets through paid advertising and other digital or cross-channel tactics.Hands-on experience managing Google Ads & Meta; experience with other major platforms is a plus.Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in digital fundraising and marketing, with familiarity with trends in the Canadian market.Familiarity with CRM platforms and experience with online giving tools and platforms.Data-savvy with proficiency in GA4, Looker Studio, and other reporting and analytics tools.Familiarity with Google Tag Manager is a bonus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to develop robust working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proven and effective project management skills, including proficiency in workflow planning and strong attention to detail.Make sound decisions that are responsible and in adherence to organizational policies, aligned with strategy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to adapt existing processes.WHAT WE OFFER
