The Opportunity
USAID/Egypt is designing a multi-year, multi-location Family Planning Program (Osra) that will aim to improve quality in Family Planning/Reproductive Health (FP/RH) service delivery through increasing demand for voluntary contraceptive use, and enhancing data systems and use for targeted planning, decision-making and to inform policies. The Government of Egypt (GoE) is highly committed to improve the usage of contraceptive services to maximize health outcomes for the people of Egypt in the context of rapid population increase. This program will also have relevant results to empower women to participate in the workforce, and engage the private sector.
The Technical Lead for Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) will provide technical leadership for OSRA with the support of other technical staff. This role will also liaise with USAID, GOE and the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) to ensure timely communication and reporting. The candidate of this position will be a key member of the USAID Bidding Process.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
