Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Contracts, prepare, negotiate and administer commercial contracts and other legal documents to support the delivery of research projects to clients primarily in the U.S. and Europe; coordinate with operations and research staff to monitor the submission of research project proposals, document the set-up, execution, administration and closeout of awarded projects in RTI Health Solutions’ enterprise-wide client management and accounting system; other duties in support of the RTI Health Solutions Office of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, as needed. Ideally, you will be based at our RTP area with options to be onsite, remote or hybrid. Responsibilities Prepare, review, negotiate and execute contracts, amendments, and other legal documents; Maintain business, contractual, and financial records in enterprise-wide client management and accounting system; Review proposals and advise RTI-HS project or administrative staff on contractual and business issues; Advise research project personnel regarding contract terms and risk mitigation; Identify matters which require escalation within the Office of Legal and Regulatory Affairs or to senior management, as appropriate; Assist with maintaining standard client contract templates; Respond to internal and external requests for information or documents; Communicate and collaborate with other operations staff. To be successful in this role, it is expected that you will possess the following skills and abilities: Solid understanding of contracting principles and commercial business practices; Experience with contract management and negotiation Well-developed analytical thinking, risk analysis, negotiation and problem-solving skills; Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with co-workers, project staff, clients, and suppliers; Ability to quickly learn and apply company policies; Ability to multi-task; Ability to accurately perform duties that require close attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills; Ability to effectively prioritize workload and follow tasks through to timely completion; Ability to work independently and be accountable for work product and results; Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to quickly learn enterprise client management and accounting system (Deltek Vision). Qualifications Bachelor’s level degree 3 years of contract management or related experience. Prior experience managing pharmaceutical client contracts is strongly preferred.
