Position: Construction Manager
Contract: 3-year renewable contract
Location: Ibadan
Closing Date: 13 June 2024
DUTIES:
Lead and coordinate overall functions & staff of Construction including plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting and quantity surveying sections. Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors and clients. Supervise and develop staff to deliver services in an efficient and effective manner. Place order for materials needed for construction projects, etc. Manage a large housing estate of houses/ apartments on campus. Prepare work schedules and outline work assignments. Assist in preparing technical feasibility studies and cost estimates on new projects. Oversee construction projects and liaise on infrastructure, equipment, and cost estimates on new projects. Manage resources such as materials, tools, and manpower efficiently. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. Prepare monthly chargeback statements. Prepare quarterly report of work done by the sections. Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
BSc/HND in Civil Engineering or any other related field with a minimum of ten (10) years\u2019 experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Possession of relevant higher qualifications will be an added advantage. Also, membership of Council of registered engineering (COREN) is required.
