The Communications Department (COM) is the IMF’s center for strategic communication. It develops and coordinates the Fund’s external and internal communications strategy, shapes key messages, and advises Management and staff on how best to convey those messages. The Department also monitors and responds to what is being said and written about the institution, both inside and outside the Fund.
The Stakeholder Engagement Division in COM (COMSE) promotes understanding and support of the IMF through two way engagement with the public and key stakeholders, including civil society organizations, labor unions, think tanks, parliamentarians, youth and academics. The division disseminates information about the Fund, initiates dialogue and debate, and builds relationships with these and other stakeholders and umbrella organizations.
The candidate will perform a wide variety of duties in supporting communications and outreach efforts, including and not limited to: communications and due diligence around Management engagements; preparing and supporting the preparation of briefing materials; supporting the division’s impact reporting and analysis; and communications with non-media stakeholders.

A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of a secondary school education, supplemented by a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience, or equivalent, is required. In addition to the qualifications outlined above, the candidate must possess the following:

This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent's performance, budget availability and continuous business need.
