About this position
We are looking for an engineering professional with a solid technical understanding of cloud computing technologies and general computing environments to work as a Cloud Engineer Senior Associate. The main purpose of this position is to meet the goals below related to the Cloud computing technologies and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure area of the IDB Group. This position will work closely and cooperatively with other division support teams to achieve this successfully.
The Information Technology (ITE) department is responsible for formulating and implementing the Bank’s IT Strategy and providing related tools, solutions, and services. It is also the focal point for all IT services and solutions (infrastructure, data, and applications), architecture, policies, and security at Headquarters and Country Offices. The department aims to become even more business-aligned, customer-centric, and agile.
What you’ll do:
We are looking for an IT professional with a strong background as an IT infrastructure specialist who is a Cloud Engineer with demonstrated experience who will: Provide cloud engineering advice and support to solution architects and project managers seeking to develop solutions based on cloud platforms and available IT infrastructure services. Contribute to technical discussions and analyses to advance DevOps practices, continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and tools for such functions. Develop the necessary infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration files for deploying and provisioning resources in Cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure. Contribute to the design of infrastructure solutions in the Cloud, considering aspects of high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery. Collaborate with the Network team to support and maintain network connectivity to Cloud computing services, including VNet integrations, Express Route, Direct Connect, VPC peering, Firewall ACL filters, Network Security Groups, etc. Collaborate with the Cybersecurity infrastructure and IT risks teams to implement security controls for Cloud computing services. Contribute to the design, research, review, and preparation of technical specifications and documentation regarding business solutions being implemented on our Cloud platforms. Support the provisioning, installation, configuration, certification and administration of virtual servers, clusters, and other Cloud resources on the Bank’s cloud platforms. (AWS and Microsoft Azure).What you'll need
Education: A master’s degree (preferable) or bachelor's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Computer Science, Information technology, or other fields relevant to the role’s responsibilities with these desirable certifications:Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is required.
