We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of: Civic Engagement Coordinator in Cambodia for the USAID Civil Society Support (CSS) Activity. The CSS Activity is a three-year and ten months, $8.5 million USAID-funded project implemented by FHI 360 and its partner, the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL). CSS will strengthen civil society through support for increased coordination and collective action, an improved enabling environment, and innovative approaches to advocacy. The overall goal of the project is a civil society that is more able to protect civic space, to strengthen democratic reforms, and to promote and protect human rights.

The Civic Engagement Coordinator will contribute to the Activity’s efforts by providing local partners with technical assistance to develop, implement, and monitor their advocacy activities. The Civic Engagement Coordinator will also act as Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) project focal point for the project. She/He will work under the supervision of the CSS Chief of Party.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical leadership and programming support for CSS’s advocacy programming, including a focus on GEDSI, Communications, freedom of expression and Human Rights
  • Lead capacity building initiatives for CSO partners and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice to the development of CSO partners’ advocacy strategies and policy development/reform initiatives during the quarterly cluster conventions.
  • Lead the implementation of CSS’s GEDSI plan in all project and partner activities.
  • Lead documentation and communication of successes and lesson learned.
  • Contribute to develop monthly update, quarterly report, and Annual Report.
