Where you come in:

We’re searching for Library For All’s next CEO. This is a full-time, permanent position that can be based from any capital city in Australia. We are also open to the right candidate to be based from anywhere in the Asia-Pacific region, which has been identified as a key focus area for Library for All.

Reporting to the LFA Board (via the Chairperson), as well as the Executive Director – International Programs (who sits on the Save the Children Australia Executive team), you will lead the growth and impact of Library For All in this key leadership role that sits within the Save the Children Senior Management Team. You will leverage existing partnerships and relationships and lead the development of the organisation’s strategic and business plan, steering Library For All into the next exciting chapter of its already remarkable journey.

You will make an impact by:

· Leading the commercial strategy to ensure products and services are innovative, meet customer needs, remain best-in-class and deliver meaningful impact in addition to delivering strong returns on capital investment

· Leading enterprise technology for impact & revenue

· Ensuring optimum business development activities, including working closely with Save the Children Australia and Save the Children International as both a partner and a client

· Leading the organisation’s finance, people & culture, enterprise technology and general administration functions, utilising Save the Children’s shared services model where suitable

· Enabling the organisation’s workforce with the skills, tools and capacity to deliver an agile and effective business

You will have exceptional inter-personal skills, utilizing a flexible communication style and an influential style of leadership (with the capability to affect change at all levels). Your laser-sharp focus to deliver better educational outcomes for children will be matched only by your dogged determination to drive genuine innovation by leading and enabling your high performing team to scale even greater heights in the pursuit of global literacy.


This role requires:

· Substantial experience at a senior executive level, with a demonstrated capacity to thrive leading highly innovative, agile and high performing teams with a transformation agenda

· Direct experience working in a developing or humanitarian context

· Experience within the development sector to enable effective partnership building and business development with key clients and stakeholders (with a deep understanding of Social Enterprise being a highly desirable attribute as well)

· Proven ability to set and achieve ambitious targets, while working autonomously in a fast-growing organization with significant growth plans

· Experience successfully developing strategy, including establishing measurement frameworks and achieving set performance indicators

· Proven experience with managing broad and complex strategic activities, or programs in complex operating environments
