Your Role
As the Associate Benefits Analyst, Remote Work Compliance, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing leave, retirement, and benefit programs across all U.S. states to ensure compliance with state-specific regulations.
Core responsibilities will include researching state regulations, performing gap analyses, and developing a plan to compliance in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Your integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in the handling of personal employee data is a critical part of this role. Your attention to detail and close collaboration with peers is imperative for success as we continuously seek opportunities to improve our operational efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
Identify reliable sources of legal and regulatory information regarding benefits programs, including government publications, legal databases, and HR-related resources. Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of state-specific leave, retirement, and other benefit regulations.
Develop comprehensive gap analyses to highlight discrepancies between current benefits offerings and state compliance requirements.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, analysis, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Collaborate with internal HR teams and other stakeholder to create actionable plans for addressing compliance gaps.
Work closely with legal counsel and external benefits consultants as needed.
Provide training and education to employees, managers, and HR partners on program changes.
Assist in other benefit projects as needed
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Strong understanding of federal and state-level employee benefits regulations, including FMLA, state-mandated leave programs, and retirement plan requirements.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Proven ability to perform detailed research and analysis, with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing reports and presentations for various audiences.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, HRIS systems, and other databases. Experience with Workday is a plus.
Highly collaborative and interpersonally effective; able to interact with individuals from varied backgrounds, communication styles, and positions internally and externally

The salary range for this role is $103,300 to $155,000 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $112,500 to $168,800 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission. New hires salaries are typically between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
