SUMMARY ABOUT THE PROJECT

Cowater International Inc. is implementing a project Women Empowerment and Political Participation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (WEPP-KP) which aims to increase the political participation and enjoyment of rights by women, particularly young and marginalized women and those at-risk.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of Assistant Project Officer for WEPP-KP is to provide technical support to the Admin and Finance Officers and project team in the implementation of upcoming activities, with a special focus on administration and finance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:.

  • Provide administrative and finance support for the efficient implementation of WEPP-KP activities including trainings, workshops, seminars, exposure visits and community forums.
  • Facilitate admin and finance in event management, support in processing cash and bills from the banks, coordination with vendors and partners for receipts.
  • Support in drafting letters for government departments, printing of event tools & documents for the project activities and procurement of equipment.
  • Support in dealing with the office guests and maintaining office logs of the project staff.
  • Support in coordinating project events and ensuring the availability of tools, documents, and equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Degree in business administration, development studies, social sciences, or relevant area;

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3 years relevant experience in administration, project coordination or another relevant role.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience organising and coordinating events such as trainings, seminars, meetings etc.
  • Ability to work individually, self-motivate and take initiative, while being a team-player.
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills are required.
  • Fluency in English, Pashto and Urdu.
  • Previous experience of working with donor-funded projects is a distinct asset.

Employment conditions : The position will be located within the WEPP-KP office, Peshawar and is a fixed-term, full-time position for a duration of 1 year initially. The contract may be extended beyond one year based on the project's needs and performance of the individual.
