The Finance Department of the International Monetary Fund is seeking to fill an Administrative Coordinator position in its General Resources and SDR Policy Division (FINGR). The selected candidate will work under the general supervision of the division's management team and will be responsible for providing administrative support, in collaboration with another coordinator. The coordinator will handle a variety of deliverables that are produced by the division, including Board documents, excel files, memoranda, and various correspondence.
In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for creating/editing presentation slides, liaising with other Fund departments and member country authorities, managing hybrid meetings and polls, and arranging detailed logistics on high-level meetings such as the yearly closed-door meetings on the New Arrangements to Borrow (NAB).
Qualifications
The selected candidate must possess excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills; must be competent at handling evolving priorities with tact and diplomacy; and comfortable in a multi-tasking environment as the division has many staff and covers a wide variety of subject-matter.
The selected candidate should also possess the following:
Education and Professional Experience:
Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience is required.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word).
Proficiency in using the major Fund IT applications e.g., the Common Review System, Fund’s Archiving System, EMS, iOffice, Nexus, Service hub, TRACES, TIMS, Peoplesoft, and Plunet, and ability to leverage technology to improve work practices and communication flows. Proficiency in Workday, specifically as a learning administrator is a plus.
Administrative Skills:
Knowledge of Fund practices and procedures;
Strong administrative, technological, and organizational capabilities; manage a variety of administrative responsibilities with regard to the recurring and ad hoc needs of the division and be adept at Fund’s policy with regards to mission travel, LSS (including Limited Exceptional Telework and Telework Outside Duty Station), HQ-presence.
Ability to be proactive, work under pressure and multitask.
Sound judgment and tact in handling contacts with staff at all levels and external stakeholders, and utmost discretion in handling confidential matters.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as a collaborative work attitude.
Flexibility and Availability:
Flexibility with working hours and in-person presence and readiness for overtime.
Flexibility and willingness to back-up colleagues, when needed.

FOOTNOTE:
This vacancy shall be filled by a 3-year Term appointment in accordance with the Fund’s new employment rules that took effect on May 1, 2015.
A regular staff member who is selected to fill the vacancy will maintain their open-ended status. If the selected candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment. Staff members already on a term appointment will continue their current term but may receive an extension provided that their current term appointment has not already been extended.
