SPR’s Debt Policy Division (DP) is looking for an experienced and motivated Administrative Coordinator. The selected candidate will work together with another senior Administrative Coordinator under the supervision of the division chief and deputies, and will provide administrative and organizational support to the staff in the division. This is a large division that, amongst other things, carries a heavy review burden; staffs many country teams; develops and refines Fund policies on debt; and anchors the work of the Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable (GSDR). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workflow of the division, including monitoring and following up on action items to ensure deadlines are met; preparing Board documents and memos to Management in line with document standards; processing reviews through eReview (country and policy); and processing travel arrangements and expense reports. In addition, the successful candidate would be expected to take the lead in the administrative arrangements for the various GSDR meetings that range from formal meetings of principals at the Spring and Annual Meetings, virtual meetings of Deputies and other technical meetings with a focused invitation list, and virtual open workshops with an extensive invitation list. Each meeting type entails different administrative modalities, including tailored communications and active management of participant lists, and which mostly start at 7:00 am. The successful candidate would also be expected to support broader Departmental business processes, for instance, mission management and other projects that support the smooth functioning of the department.

Qualifications:

An educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of four years of relevant experience, is required. The selected candidate will be expected to work under minimum supervision and be required to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and utmost discretion in performing his/her duties. The candidate must have strong administrative, technological, and organizational skills; knowledge of Fund practices and procedures; familiarity with Fund software applications, particularly Word and Excel, and systems, including PeopleSoft FINPROD and HRPROD; excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle and coordinate multiple tasks, and the ability to work accurately under pressure and especially as part of a team. The candidate must be flexible with regards to working hours and willing to work overtime at short notice.

A regular staff member who is selected to fill the vacancy will maintain their open-ended status. If the selected candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment. Staff members already on a term appointment will continue their current term but may receive an extension provided that their current term appointment has not already been extended.
