World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Activism and Outreach Specialist.
Major Function
The Activism and Outreach Specialist key responsibilities will include administration of WWF's premier activism vehicle, the Panda Ambassador Program, as well as engaging a broader set of WWF activists in conservation advocacy. Working under the Manager's guidance, this role will drive meaningful engagement with WWF's campaigns and initiatives.
The Specialist will play a central role in the day-to-day functioning of the Panda Ambassador Program, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, project coordination, and leadership development. The Specialist will develop resources and strategies that empower Ambassadors, align their efforts with WWF’s broader campaigns, and elevate their stories. The Specialist will also more broadly support key Activism and Outreach functions and initiatives outside the Panda Ambassador program.

Salary: The expected compensation range for this position is $72,600 - $90,700

Panda Ambassador Program Management
Lead the day-to-day administration of the Panda Ambassador Program, including recruitment, candidate vetting, onboarding, and advising on projects.Develop and implement recruitment strategies to target high-engagement candidates.Coordinate and develop resources (e.g., toolkits, project templates, educational materials) to support Ambassadors’ projects and engagement, using tools like Airtable and Canva.Lead monthly Panda Ambassador calls, fostering community engagement through updates, shout-outs, and challenges.Ensure Ambassador activities align with broader campaign narratives.Activism & Outreach Support
Research and recommend best practices and emergent technologies, tools, and tactics. Support the planning and execution of major Activism & Outreach events like WWF’s annual Lobby Day, panel discussions with experts, and mobilizations. Manage annual Youth Conservation Leadership Award application and review process and awardee engagements throughout the year.Coordinate and implement WWF's activism social media strategy, creating content, scheduling posts and collaborating with other organization channels on the @WWF_Act Instagram account.Track and report on key engagement metrics, providing data-driven insights to improve program effectiveness.Perform other duties as needed.Key Competencies
