Purpose of the Role:

Ensure the smooth implementation of projects, including guidance and support of the team, ensuring proper coordination with all sectors and regulatory functions. attendance, coordination, and reporting to the clusters, proposal and concept note writing, and budget development.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Excellent experience in project proposals' designing, planning, and managing.
  • Identifying gaps in the management of projects and supporting the field team in addressing these gaps.
  • Preparing the reports according to donors' requirements (Progress report, Monthly reports, quarterly reports, flash reports, and final reports) which depend on reports of field teams, have good knowledge and skills to coach the team about reporting skills.
  • Follow up the tasks of field teams and support them technically.
  • Attend cluster coordination meetings, and providing flash reports to the Line Manager about these meetings.
  • Work closely to coordinate the work between Turkey and Syria offices.
  • Support the finance department by coordinating project budget and coordination with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain effective communication and relation with donors and other stakeholders to serve the public interest.
  • Adherence to humanitarian standards and excellent knowledge about preparing the documents of projects (Work plan, logs, forms, needed documents to donors which those documents serve SDH to achieve its Goal).
  • Preparing an expenditure plan and follow up according to it.
  • Support the finance department to facilitate obtaining needed information and documents to support preparing the financial reports by the finance department as well as check the financial report in coordinating with the line manager and financial department.
  • Coordination and collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, follow up Monitoring and Evaluation reports, recommend and implement changes to enhance the projects, as appropriate.
  • Prepare and follow up the project purchase plan and its requirements.
  • Following up, solve the problems and challenges that might face the phases of preparation, implementation, and closure.
  • Coordination with all departments in Alseeraj to achieve the goal of the project and its success.
  • Preparing and following up the media plan and its requirements.

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Relevant University degree, or equivalent experience; At least 4 years’ of total experience in humanitarian or development programs in the Syrian context.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to give effective feedback and to guide and mentor direct reports.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and demonstrated the ability to write and edit reports and proposals under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian and development sectors, and experience with and knowledge of humanitarian standards.
  • Proven high experience to manage a field team remotely
  • Proven skills in leading, reporting, analyzing, and problem-solving.

Language Preference:

  • Required to be able to communicate at a Fluent level (written and verbal) in English.

  • Required to be able to communicate at a Fluent level (written and verbal) in Arabic.
