The present request is for a highly experienced Emergency Response Manager to join the team for three months. As the crises multiply and escalate, it has become important and urgent to have a high-level emergency expert who will:

  • help design a quality immediate and short-term response program that provides quality humanitarian assistance to the hundreds of thousands of girls and boys in dare need in Niger in line with internationally recognized standards and Plan International policies.

  • identify and strengthen key local human resources in Plan International Niger

  • identify donors and help develop winning proposals to fund our response programs

  • Coach CO ERM in Diffa and the DRM at the Country Office

  • Contribute to Disaster Preparedness Plan update

  • Contribute in the design of projects and the development of proposals for emergency response projects

  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures

  • Represent Plan International with relevant national and international stakeholders including donors and relevant clusters

  • Start roll-out of Emergency Response Manual in CO with CLT and ERM
