• Output 1   : Strengthened pro-poor urban management, policy and planning;
  • Output 2 : Strong community organizations and an effective voice for the urban poor built;

  • Filing and safe keeping of project documentations and database to ensure timely and correct flow of information to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Maintain records, files, reports, documents;
  • Establish good filing system with notes, records and documents;
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing correspondences of NUPRP office; 
  • Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, technical papers, project or programme;
  • Perform the duty of first point of contact for the Project Manager and National Project Director;
  • Provide secretarial and logistic support to project staff for performing their responsibilities;
  • Organize appointments, accommodation, etc. for visitors;
  • Assist in the preparation of work plan and budget and maintain budgetary control records;
  • Assist in procurement of office supplies and equipment maintain appropriate inventory records;
  • Maintain office equipment such as photocopier, computer, printers, fax and other similar equipment as required;
  • Work closely with the Finance Specialist to ensure best support services to NUPRP;
  • Support Finance Specialist in preparation of various project reports to be supplied to LGD, ERD, and Planning Division etc;
  • Perform bank dealings and maintain petty cash;
  • Prepare voucher and keep accounting records;
  • Coordinate information flow within the programme components and with other units in GoB and UN system;
  • Any other relevant tasks that are assigned to s/he, and which deems to be appropriate for the project secretary to undertake.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position or Higher Secondary with 10 years’ experience in relevant field;
  • Working experience with UN Agencies or INGOs;
  • Working experience with Government stakeholder will be preferred;
  • Working experience as Secretary or Assistant of National Project Director (Government employee) will be given advantage;
  • Working experience in supporting preparation of project budget, expenditure report, project closing report etc;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office;
  • Persons having administration experience will be preferred;
  • Experience in writing reports, documentation, record keeping is desirable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Bangla and and ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
