Project Coordinator – RISE for Children Project (Nationals Only)

The Role
The post is responsible for implementing the RISE for Children Project. The post holder is accountable for the administration and fiscal management of the project; the direction, supervision and evaluation of staff; planning implementation and evaluation of project activities; She/He is responsible for ensuring the technical inputs and support are provided to the project teams and partners in all project sites; She/he is responsible for the review and refinement of strategies and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of all program activities and outcomes; establishes mechanisms for accountability and learning; She/He is responsible for the preparation and production of all reports.

This post requires understanding of human and children’s rights, child protection, juvenile justice (preferred but not required); knowledge and skills in facilitating effective meetings and workshops; skills in networking and partnership building; and basic skills in program management, including budget management. Strong oral and written communication skills are required for this post.

Qualifications and Experience
* University degree
* Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in program management or in implementing programs in development or humanitarian contexts
* Familiarity with children’s rights and children’s issues
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Good interpersonal and communications skills
* Good writing skills; able to write reports and briefing papers
* Proven ability in facilitating meetings, workshops, and other group processes
* Basic skills in program management
* Highly organized, with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work
* Proven experience of using MS office application (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and desk-top publishing software
* Willingness to travel frequently

The job holder should develop a strong understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and should be committed to its principles and objectives. He/she should be willing to adopt the Save the Children methodology and framework in program implementation; and abide by and implement Save the Children’s Agency Policies including the Child Safeguarding Policy.

Contract length: Fixed term position until September 2021 based in National Capital Region
