Miyamoto has over 70 years of experience, including responding to more than 100 earthquake and hurricane events. Miyamoto’s headquarters are in California, U.S., with a network of experts based out of 25 offices strategically located in disaster-prone regions. Miyamoto’s structural engineers and international development specialists design and assess new and existing infrastructure to analyze specific vulnerabilities to disasters. Using rigorous risk assessments, Miyamoto develops protocols and recommendations for disaster-resilient retrofits and new construction on public and private structures, such as schools, bridges, marketplaces, hospitals, housing, and critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities
The PREPARE Mexico Program Manager will be based in Guadalajara/Zapopan, Mexico. He/she will report to the Regional Program Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Washington, D.C. The PREPARE Mexico PM will also receive support from Miyamoto’s International Development Unit, including engineers and risk management specialists based in the U.S. and throughout the region.
The PREPARE Mexico PM is responsible for the overall timely and quality delivery for all program deliverables and activities in Guadalajara/Zapopan, Mexico.

Engagement and coordination with national and local stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The desired candidate will have a minimum of 5-8 years professional experience managing USAID or other externally-funded international development programs in Mexico. Mexican Nationals strongly preferred.
