Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide account management support with larger and complex partnerships led by the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships and the Director of Business Development and Program Impact.
  • Lead on assigned sub-accounts requiring coordination with key account managers. This involves participation in global account strategy forums, contributing to global reporting and liaising with key account holders on the vision, strategy and overall direction of the partnerships.
  • Develop account strategies for assigned portfolio of new corporate partners. Responsible for all applicable aspects of the partnership including corporate grant/contributions, cause promotions, Gift-in-Kind of product and/or expertise, employee engagement, and communications planning.
  • Participate in external meetings with donors, as needed.
  • Support and conduct prospect research on a routine basis.
  • Maintain knowledge of the donor landscape and sector trends (e.g. new funding modalities) to enhance portfolio positioning for new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, Resource Development, Business Development, and other internal and external partners as needed, on proposal/program development and administration.
  • Compose, edit, and/or coordinate written materials, including pitch presentations, proposals and budgets.
  • Track and ensure deadlines for submissions (proposals, concept notes, presentations) are met, and the relevant internal partners are updated on progress.
  • Maintain knowledge of Save the Children and Save the Children International’s priorities, initiatives, and recent awards to advance proposal/program development.
  • Work with Resource Development, Business Development and Finance to log and track grant awards. This work will entail regular updating of Raiser’s Edge, pipeline reports, and contributing to other departmental and organizational reporting mechanisms as needed.
  • Track and ensure deadlines are met for the submission of reports and other stewardship information; engage relevant internal partners as needed.
  • Coordinate partner communications, opportunities for direct engagement and field visits.
  • Maintain relevant donor records to ensure fundraising moves are appropriately and timely documented.
  • Perform related assigned duties as directed by the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships

Qualifications (include but are not limited to):

  • University Degree in Business Administration or Marketing, Communications or International Development.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in corporate fundraising.
  • Proven track record in account management in competitive, matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of corporate social responsibility focused initiatives and public-private partnerships.
  • Proven track record in development and account management.
  • Sound judgment and maturity – able to view people and situations from different and diverse angles and creatively identify solutions to problems.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English is essential and a second language is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal communication & writing skills.
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of current theories and practices in fundraising, marketing and sponsorship; planning and strategy; project management; and communications.
  • Ability to problem solve & take initiative.
  • Excellent work ethic and adherence to delivering quality work on time, respecting deadlines.
  • Goal and results oriented with the ability to drive projects through to completion despite unanticipated setbacks/challenges.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must adhere to Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding policy and protocols.
  • Must Complete Police Vulnerable Sector Screening.
