The Opportunity

Are you interested in supporting children and youth in their fight against the climate emergency? Save the Children International's Asia Regional office in Singapore is looking for a part time campaign assistant to work with our regional advocacy, campaigns, communications and media team to help children and youth campaign for stronger action to address the growing climate and environment crisis. The successful applicant will have strong communication and organisation skills, excellent English, and an interest in social causes. This is part time position with flexible hours and working location that would suit an experienced professional available to support a progressive cause, a recent graduate starting a career path in the social/development sector, or an environmental activist keen to experience professional campaigning.

Key Responsibilities

Major duties and responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to campaigning discussions and planning
  2. Help organise campaign-related meetings and activities
  3. Contribute to developing campaign and communications materials,
  4. Provide administrative support to the Red Alert campaign

Output expectations:

  1. Rapid research as needed, documenting relevant information and opportunities for external activities, contributing information and ideas to planning discussions

  2. Administrative and logistical support for organisation of external activities as needed

  3. Compiling relevant information, helping to create educational materials, checking quality of videos and images, proof-reading and light editing of documents etc.

  4. Sharing internal news and announcements, organising internal meetings, taking meeting notes, filing documents and materials online, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential if applicant has relevant professional experience.

Daily guidance/support is available from supervisor.

Training/coaching opportunities also available.
