Focus on our activities in Myanmar

The Myanmar Mission has existed since 1984 (the mission closed between 1995 and 2001). PUI is developing its integrated approach with interventions in the areas of health and nutrition, WASH and food security. Specifically, PUI has been running an HIV prevention and treatment program for male, female and LGBT sex workers in the Yangon region for over 10 years, linked to a malnutrition prevention program. In Kayin, PUI works on malnutrition prevention and primary health care, support to health facilities in their COVID-19 response and cash transfer projects to vulnerable populations. Today, the mission consists of 8 projects.

What about the Deputy Finance Coordinator ?

The Deputy Finance Coordinator is involved in the sound financial and budgetary management of the mission under the supervision of the Administrative and Financial Coordinator. He/She is responsible for the mission’s accounting and co-guarantees compliance with internal and external procedures.

For this purpose, you will be responsible for :

Financial and budgetary management: He/She participates in the proper management of the financial and budgetary aspects of the mission.

Accounting and cash management: He/She is responsible for accounting and cash management on the mission.span>

Coordination and Representation: He/She centralizes and disseminates information within the mission, and at headquarter on all matters relating to accounting. He/She participates in consolidation and internal and external reporting in these same areas. He/She represents the association in dealings with partners, authorities and the various local players involved in the financial, administrative and legal aspects of the mission, as delegated by the Administrative and Financial Coordinator.

Supervision and management: He/She participates in the supervision and management of the admin teams. He/She is involved in training the teams on all aspects of finance, accounting and budgeting.

The challenges that await you :

– support the AFC in the reporting / proposal development during the intense periods – train the program team on budget management – improve the department capacity and processes

What you will need to succeed

Training

You hold a degree in Financial management or accounting. Project management is a plus.

Experience

Strengthened by minimum 1 year of experience in finance management. You already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? It would be a definite asset!

Skills

You have excellent writing and communications skills. Your master Budget preparation and financial reporting. You know how to used Excel and Saga. A strong knowledge of institutional donor procedures (OFDA, ECHO, AAP, UN agencies etc.) will be appreciated.

Qualities

You demonstrate an ability to take initiatives and responsibilities. You have a sense of diplomacy and open-mindedness, good analytical skills and you are pragmatic. You demonstrate good organization, management of priorities, and an ability to adapt and to work with various partners, in a spirit of openness and with adaptable communications strategies.

Languages

English has no secrets for you! All the better, it is mandatory for this position. If you speak French, it would be a definite asset.

PUI will offer you

  • Status : Employé(e) with a Fixed-Term Contract
  • Monthly Gross Income : 2 340,00 – 2 590,00 EUR depending on your experience in International Solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical coverage and complementary healthcare, 24/24 assistance and repatriation
  • Housing in collective accomodation
  • Daily Living Expenses (« Per Diem »)
  • Break Policy : 5 working days at 3 and 9 months + break allowance
  • Paid Leaves Policy : 5 weeks of paid leaves per year + return ticket every 6 months
