The Technical Program Officer will directly work with and report to the Technical Component Lead on PYD and YLN on all activities related to youth civic engagement and leadership under Ma3an.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

Work with the Technical Component Lead on implementing the Youth Leaders Network (YLN) activity including:

  • Supporting the capacity building process for youth-serving actors.
  • Support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (ME&L) team and program staff in integrating a Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) approach into program activities.
  • Contribute to the production of quarterly progress and other reporting documents as needed.
  • Work with the Technical Component Lead on Civics on supporting the work with the Ministry of Education on revising and piloting an updated Civic Education Curriculum across Tunisia and implementing the YCS program in civic education clubs.
  • Supporting the team leads in organizing learning workshops.
  • Contribute to drafting lessons and recommendations reports on each of the components.
  • Ensure that activities are infused with principles of Do No Harm / conflict sensitivity.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the technical leads.
    • Respect and abide by all the internal regulations of FHI 360 platform office.

      Minimum Requirements

      Technical & soft skills

      • Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, International Administration, International Development, International Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field
      • A minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience on international development programs and/or work in the civil society sector of Tunisia and/or other countries
      • Experience managing relevant programs in the target communities, such as youth development and/or community engagement/mobilization programs in Ariana, Ben Arous and/or Mannouba.
      • Experience with design and management of civil society grants programs preferred.
      • Familiarity with international development donors’, particularly USAID, programs, rules, and regulations highly desired
      • Ability to work effectively with local partners and stakeholders.
      • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team.
      • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
      • Fluency in French and/or Arabic.
