Senior Program Officer in our Education and Science programs (ES) which support research to ensure children and youth from vulnerable populations are in school and benefit from high-quality education, as well as research to promote women’s leadership in strong science systems that produce knowledge and innovation to improve lives.

Senior Program Officer in our Sustainable Inclusive Economies programs (SIE) which builds evidence to support sustainable development that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and to enhance climate resiliency, foster shared prosperity, and expand economic opportunities for women and youth in developing countries.

You have:

A Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to your program of choice (ES, SIE). Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking). Significant and recent experience in research and research management including monitoring, evaluation, and the implementation of knowledge translation strategies. In-depth understanding of gender equity and social inclusion, analysis, planning, and integration activities for international development projects. The ability to provide specialized advice and professional guidance to stakeholders in your field of expertise. Work experience in developing countries. Knowledge of arabic is an asset.

You are:

A recognized collaborator with strong interpersonal and communications skills adept at facilitating transdisciplinary research and communities of practice for collaborative research. A team player who thrives within a research-based environment that requires dedicated relationship building and openness to working with researchers from diverse cultures across the world. An experienced research professional with demonstrated project and program management skills, able to work under pressure using initiative and sound judgment to meet tight timelines. Driven and able to put plans into action through effective implementation processes. Passionate about the improvement of education systems (ES) and expanding economic opportunities (SIE) in low-middle income countries (LMICS).

You are interested in:

Managing a portfolio of research projects to be needs-driven and solutions-oriented and engaging in research for impact by reaching audiences for uptake and action. Liaising with colleagues, researchers, and other stakeholders to support program directions and contributing to Centre-wide public relations efforts. Using your expertise to recommend new developments in the disciplines and areas of development covered by your program of choice (ES, SIE).

Hybrid Work: Having the flexibility to work in a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).

These positions require international travel.
