SPARK is looking for a Senior Finance Admin Officer (SFAO) who has experience working for an INGO and excellent knowledge of Financial Accounting, Project Accounting, and Management Reporting.
The SFAO is expected to be service-oriented, calm under pressure, an independent planner with good communication skills, and a good team player.
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Finance Manager(RFM) and Jordan Country Manager (CM), the SFAO is responsible for effective and accurate financial and accounting of SPARKs projects in Jordan.
Furthermore, the SFAO will ensure compliance, managing financial risks, auditing, and timely financial reporting to donors under the Programme.
This also includes the budget follow-ups, cash management, and implementation of SPARK’s operational.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

Administrative duties including but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring inventory and update inventory list;
  • Updating car log and following up on its maintenance and availability;
  • Managing social security and income tax and making sure that the payments are being done on their due dates, and preparing the needed reconciliations;
  • Following up on Jordan office yearly licenses and renew them when needed;
  • Following up on legal matters related to SPARK Jordan office;
  • Supervising office consumables and procuring them.

Requirements and Skills

  • BA and/or MA in Finance/Accounting, Business, or Public Administration, or a professional accounting qualification from an internationally recognized institute of accountancy;
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in financial management and operational systems in projects’ administration, project management, financial management, and audit management within the private sector or international NGOs;
  • Proven experience in handling large scale- multi-donor funding, reporting systems;
  • Knowledge of audit tracking, accounting, and budgetary procedures and techniques, procurement of goods and services, stocks and assets control;
  • Prior experience working in higher education or livelihoods programs is an asset;
  • Full professional proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset.
