Could you provide coordination support towards the successful implementation of the IFRC Regional Cash Plan of Action?

This Regional CVA Coordinator position will focus on technical implementation and support to National Societies in the MENA region, both preparedness and response, to enable them to use Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) as a modality to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in a timely manner during both small and large scale disasters and crises. The Coordinator will also support coordination efforts within the region.

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Head of DCPRR – MENA region and the technical management of the Cash team in Geneva, the Regional CVA Coordinator will focus on:
* The successful implementation of the Regional Cash Plan of Action 2019-2021
* Provide leadership, guidance and technical expertise for cash-based response interventions across the Region to Movement partners, and support cash preparedness initiatives as relevant
* Facilitate the contextualization and implementation of the Movement Cash Roadmap at regional and sub-regional levels
* Ensure coordination, cooperation, networking and partnership within and outside of the Movement
* Support knowledge management, raising awareness and acceptance within the Movement across the region
* Strengthen resource mobilization and reporting in relation to CVA

About the Person
* You will have proven experience in successful CVA implementation (ie. Assessments and market analysis, CVA feasibility, design, implementation and M&E) and in developing CVA programmes that are inclusive and gender sensitive (preferably within the RC/RC Movement).
* You will have sound knowledge of and commitment to a holistic approach to disaster management, with an understanding of recovery through a multi-sectorial approach.
* You will be experienced in multi-stakeholder management, proactive and prepared to coordinate with several different National Societies and other partners.
* You will be skilled in interpersonal communication and negotiation.

(Preferred) You will have good command of Arabic and/or French.
