Back Paralegal Assistant

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking an organised and detail orientated Paralegal Assistant to assist the legal team in ensuring effective administrative and legal support to GAIN.

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially the most vulnerable to malnutrition.

About the role

The Paralegal Assistant will support the legal team in providing administrative and legal assistance to GAIN, including launching an online contract lifecycle management system (CLM) for a 6 month’s period.

Role specifics will include;

• Support the team with reviewing standard contracts to mitigate risks for the organisation and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Perform third party screening and due diligence activities prior to contracting.
• Provide support to the Team in launching a new CLM, including testing the new product.
• Assist the development and roll out of training material for the new CLM.
• Provide legal support in a range of legal matters including assisting the Team in preparing internal notes and legal policies.

About you

• Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s in Law
• Experience working as an administrative assistant or paralegal within a law firm or international organization
• Some experience in the use of contract management system or other electronic tools
• Excellent English and French spoken and written skills
