Position Summary

The Operations Officer will support the FGPII Value Chain Expert in administrative, financial, logistical and operational management of all project activities.

Responsibilities and duties

The Operations Officer will have the following tasks:

  • Support the FGPII Value Chain Expert in all accounting, administrative and financial tasks in coordination with the Accounting Administrator of FGPII;
  • Coordinate the collection of financial project documentation in coordination with local partners;
  • Manage the record of paper and electronic administrative documents of project activities;
  • Supports the logistical organization of trainings and capacity building for beneficiaries and CBOs;
  • Contribute to the execution of procurement procedures in close coordination with the Value Chain Expert and the Logistic Coordinator, following the procedures and rules provided by the donor;
  • Support HBBs/associations working in project activities in order to monitor training activities;
  • Prepare internal financial reporting for the activities under supervision on Value Chain Expert and in coordination with FGPII team;
  • Contribute to the proper management of all project documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of at least 3 years in accounting, operations, and logistics management roles at international humanitarian organizations;
  • Excellent written and spoken knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of the Italian language is considered an added value;
  • Knowledge and application of PRAG procedures for the procurement of goods and services;
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and mediation skills
