Generic responsibilities

Ensure adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures. Collaborate with MEL officer in Lashio, Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) focal persons in Bhamo and Myitkyina area.Ensure that output and outcome data is collected and documented for reporting; and maintain comprehensive records of M&E activities and results.Capacity building and training of program staff on MEL technical and conceptual areas, as needed.Support programmed staff to implement quality and timely programs ensuring all MEL activities are carried out during the projects’ implementation.

Specific responsibilities   

Develop tools necessary to complete all data collection related to outputs indicators, and results including baseline surveys and participatory assessment (with external consultant assistance when necessary), Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) surveys, qualitative interview guides, focus group discussion guides, and other types of assessments as needed.Develop and maintain databases where data and indicators are tracked and compared over the life of the project; ensure that these databases are accurate, and that data is cleaned and coded correctly.Provide feedback to project technical and partner staff on methodologies and results of assessments to ensure and be accurate that results of monitoring and evaluations are used to implement programmatic changes accordingly.Develop and implement strategies for verifying indicators, ensure that all departments submit source verification data for indicators in a timely manner and compare them against reporting to ensure accuracy.Prepare weekly and monthly work plans for field visits and support for the program data entry.Monthly report at NRC internal reporting systemAny other task relevant to the position as requested by the line and/or technical manager.

Good knowledge of data protection principles, international standards, data tech and systems.  Understanding of data and information needs for programmed management and decision making.Good English language both written and verbal skills. Fluency in local language, both written and verbal.Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, R Studio, or Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Desirable
