We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Magnets Production Technician to join our team, specializing in the manufacturing of MCBXF Corrector Magnets for the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations, ensuring the production line runs smoothly, adhering to quality standards, and collaborating with the team to achieve optimal efficiency.

Your main activities include:

Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the MCBXF corrector magnet production line and troubleshoot immediate issues to ensure a seamless workflow.

Task Organization:

Execute and optimize tasks on the production line;
Adhere to schedules for timely task completion.

Production Area Management: Actively participate in the setup of the production area and follow procedures to maintain production efficiency and safety.

Quality Assurance: Immediately address and report any deviations from quality standards.

Data Analysis and Corrective Actions: Perform mechanical measurements as part of routine tasks;

Implement corrective actions based on project leader instructions.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State;You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline;Your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma;You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
