I. MSF INTERNATIONAL

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

MSF International is the legal entity that binds together MSF’s 26 Institutional Members of which 24 sections, and other offices such as Branch Offices and Satellites. MSF International provides coordination, information, and support to the MSF movement, and implements international projects and initiatives as requested.
Within MSF International, the International Office (IO) is the Secretariat of MSF International Board and is under the direct management of the Secretary General.


II. POSITION BACKGROUND

MSF´s international office (IO) facilitates collaboration between different organizational entities in MSF. The International Logistics Coordinator (ILC) coordinates the platforms of Directors of Logistics, Heads of Operational Logistics, Heads of Technical Logistics (DirLog, LogOps, LogTech) and several technical working groups. It’s also part of different steering committees.
The International Office team is geographically distributed, and the Senior Supply Chain Program Manager can be located in any MSF office as long as it doesn’t affect the ability to do the job. During the selection process the candidates can propose a location, which will then be discussed.

II. PLACE IN THE ORGANISATION

The Internacional Logistic Coordinator Program support will:

Reports hierarchically to the Internacional Logistic Coordinator Works closely with all technical working groups (WGs)Interacts with other stakeholders within the MSF movement (Operations, Medical, Supply Chain, IT, Finance and other)


IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

Support to ILC in the coordination of the Logistics platforms (DirLog, LogOps, LogTech): facilitation of meetings, minutes taking, preparation of face to face meeting…Facilitation WG’s: facilitates exchanges between the International Technical Working Groups (WG’s): Transport (mobility), Energy, Communication, Construction & Shelter, Biomed, Cold Chain, Log’n’D, and Applied SecuritProject management: leads small scale improvement project as visualization of Log HR in different locations and update of logops contact list. Participation to steering committees by delegation of the ILC.Knowledge Management: ensures maintenance of Logistic Pamoja sites.
