The project aims at strengthening the dialogue between public and private sector actors in the Indian vocational education and training (VET) system and at promoting high-quality and cooperative training opportunities for India’s youth. To this end, the IGVET project works closely with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and provides advisory services and capacity building support to selected industries and industry associations, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). During its first four years of implementation, the IGVET project has piloted various successful models of cooperative VET in four Indian states, namely Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Rajasthan. Since September 2020, the project now focusses on replicating these models in additional sectors and regions across the country.
Your internship will entail a mix of management-, communication- and monitoring-related tasks for IGVET as well as cross-cutting administrative tasks in the SED cluster. This includes:
Support in the implementation of the project’s communication strategy (e. g. drafting articles, briefs and presentations and developing social media content, in particular for Facebook and LinkedIn) Support in the organisation and facilitation of a study tour as well as events, workshops, and roundtables with relevant actors (e. g. preparing invitee lists and invitations, speaker profiles, event documentation etc.) Support in data collection, data analysis and data processing via the project’s digital monitoring tool Support in the documentation and reporting of project outcomes and results Support in knowledge management (e. g. maintenance of the document management system) and administrative tasks at the project and cluster levels Support in the coordination and expansion of key activities at the project and cluster levelsPlease be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
We pay a monthly stipend of €2.064,- (gross). Depending on the country of assignment a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ will be paid on top.
