Our daily business is to enhance the Indo-German cooperation in the field of solar energy. As India has set very ambitious targets such as having 175 GW of Renewables installed until 2022 and 500 GW Renewable Energy by 2030, there is a lot to do for us. We provide policy and implementation support to our partner Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on new and innovative areas for implementation of solar energy. There is a huge demand for land and rooftop space for installation of solar systems. The project is being designed to find innovative ways for expanding application of photovoltaics in land neutral applications. The project outlines the identification of potential innovative areas and application of photovoltaics which includes solar in urban areas, potential mapping, assessment of costs and yields and demonstration projects. Assistance to strengthen the domestic solar industry and institutions is required to develop knowledge and capacities which would lead to India being self-reliant in the solar energy space. In the first phase, the technology and applications for photovoltaics application will be decided followed by potential mapping. Do these activities sound interesting to you? Just go through the internship description, prepare your application and we will be in touch soon.
